Golf Course Apartments, LLC, plans to build a 40-unit senior apartment complex offering independent living options at a market value price, off of Golf Course Road, in the Town of Amsterdam.   

2022 

DG Distribution Northeast, LLC-Perishable

DG Distribution Northeast, LLC plans to establish a perishable goods distribution center to serve current and future stores in the region.

Daim Logistics

Daim Logistics is building a 54,000 sq. ft. building for cold storage, processing storage, packing and shipping of consumer goods. This project is an expansion of their current facility in the Glen Canal View Business Park, in the Town of Glen. 

2021

Cookies from Brooklyn, Inc. 

Cookies from Brooklyn will use a building in Amsterdam to prepare its breads and cookies for sale. Cookies from Brooklyn wholesales its product to states throughout the northeast, mid-atlantic and midwest regions, while continuing to look to expand. Six jobs will be created over the next three years. 

2020

Family Counseling Center of Fulton County, Inc.

The Family Counseling Center of Fulton County, Inc., is preparing to expand its 9,000 sq. ft. building in Gloversville, with an 18,578 sq. ft. addition. As a not-for-profit, the Fulton County based organization requested assistance from the Capital Resource Corporation in Montgomery County. The expansion will offer expanded space for its Domestic Violence and Crisis programs and other outpatient mental health services. The project will also allow the ability to serve more residents with mental illness and medication assisted treatment for substance abuse and specifically combat the opioid epidemic.  

2019 

Vida-Blend, LLC

Vida Blend will build a custom 14,000 sq. ft. building that will be located in the Florida Business Park Extension. The new facility will allow Vida Blend to increase its manufacturing needs to better meet customer demand. Vida Blend plans to hire 18 new employees that will be needed to satisfy the increase in production. The new facility will allow Vida Blen to triple its capacity to meet international and national sales left currently unfilled due to capacity issues in the facility it currently leases. 

Valley View Hospitality, Inc.

Valley View Hospitality, Inc., is building a 67-room Microtel by Wyndham Hotel along Route 5S, in the City of Amsterdam. The $6 million project, which was awarded a $1.2 million economic development grant from the state, is a signature investment to help bring hospitality options to the county. The project, which also received assistance from the Montgomery County Revolving Loan Fund, will create 14 new, full-time positions over the next three years.

Eisenadler Brauhaus, LLC

Eisenadler Brauhaus, LLC, is creating the first microbrewery in Montgomery County. Eisenadler Brauhaus is looking to officially launch its brewery operations with the purchase of brewing equipment, including the fermentation tanks. The brewery will focus on Bavarian style beers and the business will lead to the creation of five full-time jobs. 

2018

Executive Group, Inc. 

Executive Group is purchasing and renovating a building at 50 Park St., in Amsterdam. This addition of space will lead to the creation of 16 full-time positions and the retention of 13 full-time employees. Executive Group installs furniture, fixtures and equipment for leading hotels and banks throughout the country. Continued expansion will allow Executive Group to branch out to logistics and millwork manufacturing. 

Mohawk Solar

Mohawk Solar, LLC, is proposing to construct a 90 megawatt solar energy generation facility in the Towns of Canajoharie and Minden. The porject will safely generate enough clean, renewable electricity to power more than 20,000 households. 

2017

Dollar General

Dollar General has decided to build its 16th distribution center in the Florida Business Park. The project is expected to create 430 new jobs, as well as approximately 200 additional, temporary and constructions positions to build the 750,000 sq. ft. facility. The capital investment is estimated at $85 million. Montgomery County was chosen for the site of this project, in part, for its convenient location to the New York State Thruway, its proximity to the company’s stores and markets throughout the northeast. When fully operational, this distribution center will supply products to Dollar General’s 800 stores throughout the northeast.

Lee Village Properties/Lee Shops at Wagner’s Square

Lee Shops at Wagner’s Square will consist of three stores housed in the Village of Canajoharie. The project is anticipated to lead to the creation of 10 jobs over the next three years. The “Christmas Corner” will be full of Christmas magic, the “Crossroads at Wagner’s Square” will house home goods and the “Freddy Bear” will be a toy emporium. It is envisioned that these three shops will become known to local collectors and retailers throughout the region. 

2016

NY Bake Factory & AJ Bake Factory

NY Bake Factory/AJ Bake Factory will renovate the former Beech-Nut Cereal Plan in the Village of Fort Plain. The facility will be the home for a breadstick and cookie line.

RAMA Real Property, LLC

RAMA Real Property, LLC and Home Helpers Direct Link of Amsterdam (HHDLA) has acquired the former YMCA building in the Village of Hagaman. This project will lead to the retention of 128 full-time employees, along with creating 5.5 FTE’s. HHDLA is an in-home health care agency, which provides services to the local community.
