DANVANN NAMED MONTGOMERY COUNTY’S
FEBRUARY SMALL BUSINESS OF THE MONTH
Real Estate Company In Amsterdam Improves Community One Property At A Time

FONDA – DANVANN Properties, Construction & Development, started with one single property nearly 20 years ago. Dan Roth purchased that property by using money he saved during his deployment overseas, in support of Operation Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. DANVANN Properties now operates as a Federal and New York State Certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned business. The business model and investment strategy has changed, but Roth, DANVANN’s founder, has created a successful business enterprise partly due to the companies’ mission and objective to earn the trust of their clients and community through uncompromised workmanship, integrous practices, and delivering on expectations.

DANVANN Properties has been selected as Montgomery County’s February Small Business of the Month by County Executive Matthew L. Ossenfort and the Montgomery County Business Development Center because of the business’ entrepreneurial spirit and its ability to have a big impact on the local community.

“DANVANN has continued to invest in properties locally, here in Montgomery County,” County Executive Matthew L. Ossenfort said. “I really respect what Dan Roth has built and his mission to improve our local community one property at a time. DANVANN’s investment has provided local businesses good facilities to operate and places for residents to call home.”

DANVANN has evolved into a diversified company providing property Investment, Construction & Development services to many clients throughout upstate New York. The construction team is a commercial and residential general contractor, using time-honored techniques to deliver a variety of services, including new construction, renovations, additions, rehabilitations and more. DANVANN’s property development division handles the process of revitalizing buildings or land into a higher use value for residential and commercial clients.

DANVANN’s community spirit spans far beyond construction and development. Their growing social responsibility program is focused on making a positive impact on the lives of children and veterans. They have assisted numerous non-profit missions including the Office for Aging, Creative Connections Clubhouse, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Salute to Service Veterans Coalition, Amen Soup Kitchen, Toys for Tots, and many more. Dan Roth has ensured that his company maintains a strong commitment to community involvement.

DANVANN Properties made news in October 2019, when it rehabbed the original Alpin Haus building in the Town of Amsterdam, which created the home of five new tenants who called the rejuvenated property home. Alpin Haus originally opened its doors in 1964, so DANVANN did considerable renovations to bring it to today’s style and standards, while dedicating a plaque to Alpin Haus’ original founders, Bud Heck and John Daly.

DANVANN is a trusted commercial and residential general contractor, based in Amsterdam, serving all of upstate New York. Originally founded in 2006, by Roth, a retired air force veteran, DANVANN has evolved into a diversified property construction, development and property management business. DANVANN is a Federal and New York State Certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned business.

“Since day one, DANVANN has called Montgomery County home,” Roth said. “This is not only where we do business, but it is where many of our employees live and choose to raise their families. This community has done incredible things for us and we are continuously searching for ways to return the favor, through serving our clients with integrity, revitalizing once cherished properties and by giving back. We are thrilled and honored to be chosen as the Montgomery County Small Business of the Month.”

DANVANN’s main investment strategy is to purchase homes in desirable locations throughout Montgomery and Fulton counties or elsewhere in upstate New York, renovate them to the company’s specifications and then offer them for lease to qualified tenants.

“DANVANN’s efforts to revitalize areas of the community helps to spur economic growth,” Montgomery County Business Development Center CEO Ken Rose said. “Being a veteran, Dan also provides a critical model for other veterans to put their entrepreneurial skills into opening a small business.”

DANVANN Properties is located in Amsterdam, at 207 Wallins Corners Road.
