Fourth Generation Specialty Furniture Shop Has Operated in Montgomery County since 2002
FONDA — A fourth generation family-owned and operated business specializing in high quality, handmade furniture and cabinetry is being highlighted as part of the “Focus on Business” program of the Montgomery County Business Development Center. Founded in Massachusetts in 1964, Delnero Fine Furniture Company relocated to Montgomery County in 2002.
Growing from humble beginnings as a one-man operation, Delnero Furniture now employs four full-time staff, with additional workers added to support larger projects or a heavy volume of orders. The company found its home in Montgomery County because of the area’s reputation for supporting local businesses, its central location for product distribution, and the opportunity for expanding operations.
“Crafting hand-made products is too often a lost art in the age of the big-box store. Montgomery County’s Delnero Furniture is continuing a legacy of craftsmen who create heirloom quality furniture that’s proudly ‘Made in the USA.’ They may be a local company, but their custom-made furniture has found its way into homes, offices and other locations, well beyond our borders,” said Ken Rose, CEO of the Montgomery County Business Development Center (MCBDC).
