(FONDA, NY) – Completing the 2020 U.S. Census can have a profound impact on the community. Whether it’s federal aid for roads, schools, health care or emergency services, without an accurate count Montgomery County could lose out.
To assist residents who may need help completing this year’s Census, the Montgomery County Business Development will be hosting office hours on Monday, Sept. 28; Tuesday, Sept. 29; and Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to help residents who need assistance completing the Census online.
“The Census is incredibly important and there are a only a few days left to complete the process and get counted. We live by the motto “Stronger Together” and part of that strength is everyone doing their part to make sure our community receives the resources it needs from the federal government. The results of this population survey impact our community for the next decade, so we can’t afford to miss out,” said Business Development Center CEO Ken Rose.
“It takes just five minutes to complete the Census and it’s easy to do online. If you need assistance, our team will be available to help residents complete their filing before the deadline,” Rose said.
Residents who would like to come to the Business Development Center’s office in Fonda to get assistance completing the Census should contact Alex Kuttesch at 518-853-8334 to make an appointment. Please note that masks are required to be worn while at County facilities.
Anyone who has not completed the Census is also encouraged to visit www.2020Census.gov and fill it out online today.
