Company Has Been Helping The Regional Foodbank Serve Residents During the Pandemic.

(FULTONVILLE, NY) – With a unique skill set, DAIM Logistics, Inc. provides customers with transportation and warehousing services, with a personal touch. Now this company is being recognized by Montgomery County Executive Matthew L. Ossenfort and the Montgomery County Business Development Center as the September Small Business of the Month because of their efforts to help others during the pandemic.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, DAIM Logistics has been providing assistance to the Regional Foodbank of Northeast New York, ensuring truckloads of goods get to the food bank, so they can provide food security to those struggling with hunger during the crisis.

“Pat and the team at DAIM Logistics epitomize the ‘Stronger Together’ spirit we speak of so often here in Montgomery County. They’ve stepped up and used their unique expertise to assist people who might be struggling with food insecurity during this difficult time,” said County Executive Ossenfort.

“When Legislator Purtell nominated DAIM, I immediately said yes because they’re the kind of company we are proud to have in our community. I’m honored to name them the September Small Business of the Month,” said Ossenfort.

Cofounded by Chris and Pat Oare, DAIM Logistics serves customers across New York State and along the Eastern Seaboard. The company relocated to the Town of Glen in 2010 and has found the community to be a great fit, especially with the growth in distribution facilities along the Route 5S Corridor in the Town of Florida. The company’s Fultonville facility serves as home base for their office and maintenance operations, plus a warehousing facility for customers.

As a third-party logistics provider, DAIM Logistics regularly works with Dollar General, Target, Beech-Nut, Liberty ARC and others along the Route 5S corridor, plus the Walmart in Johnstown.

“Pat and the team at DAIM have made themselves part of the fabric of our community over the past decade. They’re always on hand when the community is in need. They’re extremely deserving of this recognition,” said Montgomery County District 9 Legislator Bob Purtell, who nominated the company for this special recognition.

“Shipping and logistics have become a cornerstone of our local economy. We’ve worked hard to recruit businesses that put people in our community to work and align with the skills of other employers in the area. DAIM is a great example of a company that’s found a need and filled it,” said Montgomery County Business Development Center CEO Ken Rose.

Those wishing to nominate a small business for recognition next month should contact the Montgomery County Business Development Center at 518-853-8334 or email vnicosia2@co.montgomery.ny.us with two to three paragraphs about the business and how it’s making an impact on the county’s communities. Nominations can also be submitted by sharing a post and tagging the business on the Business Development Center’s Facebook and Instagram accounts.
